| The Society has been
thriving for over 80 years and currently has about 170 members. Every year
the Society organises three shows - Spring, Summer and Autumn; a spring plant
sale and an autumn coffee morning and plant sale; a series of lectures; a visit
to one or two gardens of special interest. In the village it tends the rose beds
in the Crescent and the flower bed at the station. Recently it has planted large
numbers of daffodil bulbs at various sites around the village. We are always
very pleased to welcome as new members anyone with an interest in gardening, be
they beginners or 'stalwart' green fingers, who would like to meet like minded
people in the village to share their love of all things horticultural. The annual
membership is a very modest £3 for single membership or £4 for family
membership. Please speak to our membership secretary Ann Anderson for more
information on 652233. Affiliated to: The Royal Horticultural
