Woldingham's skies threatened by Biggin Hill airport expansion

Let Biggin Hill Airport know each time your peace is disturbed!

We need to let the authorities know when we are disturbed by an aircraft or helicopter. If we don’t tell them they will assume we don’t mind.

To report an incident include the following information: date, time, type of plane (jet/turbojet/prop), size (small/executive jet/larger/helicopter), approximate location where seen and direction (e.g. close North Woldingham, going NW), and how low/high it was. You can report in several ways (see below) and the more the merrier.

You can also report and comment through our Biggin Hill Incidents Discussion Forum.

Reporting methods:

Reporting phone hotline: 01959 578580
By email to: a.r.walters@btconnect.com
By Post to: The Director, Biggin Hill Airport, Main Road, Biggin Hill, Bromley, TN16 3BH
Please copy to the Parish Council by emailing to: wpc.biggin.hill@gmail.com so we can build a central record.

FlightPath

FlightPath is an alliance of residents and other groups opposed to the further development of Biggin Hill Airport (BHA). At stake, is the protection of all residents affected by operations at, and flights to and from, BHA plus the protection of the local environment.

Woldingham Parish Council (WPC) is a member of, and fully supports the activities of FlightPath. This is because we already suffer from extensive low-altitude over-flying by executive jet planes using BHA and any further expansion of this airport will only increase their frequency. If BHA get their way, we could even see scheduled flights operating from this airport resulting in very much larger jets landing and taking off over Woldingham.

It is therefore in all residents best interests to be aware of the issues by logging on to the FlightPath website so as to appreciate the threats we face:
www.flightpathbromley.org.uk/index.html

Unless we all help to oppose Biggin's expansion plans, Woldingham could end up having a problem the size of Stansted airport on our doorstep.
