INTERESTED IN HELPING THE VILLAGE?

We are also lucky to have many active social groups in the village. A number of these are encouraging more people to join them. In particular:

Action Aid:
This is a monthly luncheon club which raises funds for the International charity Action Aid. Each member of the group attends a lunch once a month and hosts twice a year for 6 to 8 people. Anyone interested in joining should contact Julie Moylan (652211).

Americans in Woldingham
From time to time, a small group of 'Woldingham Americans' get together to share a pot of coffee, chat and if lucky find someone who's going stateside to bring us back a few goodies. If you are interested in joining us, call Diane on 652232

Crusaders:
Young & bored? Why not think of joining the Crusaders?
The Woldingham Crusader Youth Group has now merged with the Caterham Crusader Youth Group and meets on a Thursday evening from 7.30-9.00. Juniors meet 6.00-7.30. Further details from neil.musk@btinternet.com

Here is a photo of two of the Woldingham young people, Rachel Salmon and Holly McDaid, who went to the Isle of Wight with the Crusaders.

Mother's Union:
This meets monthly and would welcome both ladies and gentlemen as new members. Money raised by the branch is used to support various projects in the UK and abroad. For a programme and information, please contact Margaret Summers (652886).

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Scouts:
All the scouting groups welcome new members. To find out when and where your child's age group is meeting, please contact Delyse Borley (652278). Delyse would also like to hear from anyone who feels they could help the groups. In particular, rainbow and guide leaders are needed.

WOODLEA SCHOOL NEWS

Thank you to all who participated in the Woodlea Golf Day at the Woldingham Golf Club. The day of golf and the dinner were an overwhelming success. Through your generosity, £3,500 was raised for the school’s ICT Suite. Given that this is our second success with Golf Days, it is our intention to make this an annual tradition. Dates for next years event will be released early next year.
