1st Woldingham Rainbows – news on their Teddy Adventure Day
We held an all day event for 15 Rainbows on Saturday 8 June 2019 called Teddy Adventure Day. The Rainbows and their teddies visited Australia, Mexico and India and made some brilliant crafts – a poncho for their teddies and a Mexican God’s Eye, from Australia they did aboriginal dot painting and made a fly-catcher hat and from India, Mandala painted stones and a decorated papercraft elephant. In the afternoon we went swimming, put up a tent, toasted some marshmallows and had a surprise visit from our own Exciting Explorer – Sally Kettle. We then had a cooked tea and finished with a sing-song around the camp fire. It was a brilliant day thanks to the enthusiasm of our Rainbows and of course our brilliant helpers and leaders!
