Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice, The Ridge, Woldingham
I have been in contact with the requesting officers for these closures and unfortunately there have been some issues with carrying out the emergency works, the closure coming into force 16th May (today) is no longer going ahead and only the closure anticipated to commence on the 6th June is to be of concern to residents.

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in those lengths of The Ridge (C75) Woldingham
a) as extends from its junction with Limpsfield Road to its junction with Chalkpit Lane. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Limpsfield Road, The Green, Westhall Road, Hillbury Road, Godstone Road, Woldingham Road, Station Road, Northdown Road and The Ridge or this route in reverse order.
b) as extends from its junction with Chalkpit Lane to its junction with Northdown Road. The alternative route for vehicles will be via The Ridge, Limpsfield Road, The Green, Westhall Road, Hillbury Road, Godstone Road, Woldingham Road, Station Road and Northdown Road or this route in reverse order.
Please note that the works at location a) and location b) will not be carried out simultaneously.
This Notice is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway patching and/or resurfacing in those lengths of The Ridge (C75) Woldingham described in this Notice. This Notice is now anticipated to commence on the 6th June 2018 for a period of 5 days. Works are anticipated to be completed over five days of this Notice between the hours of 07.00hrs to 19.00hrs. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access to residential and business premises within those lengths of The Ridge (C75) Woldingham including access by emergency services to these premises, will be maintained. All other vehicular traffic and HGV’s will be required to follow the signed diversion routes.
The prohibition referred to above will not apply: –
a) in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
b) in respect of anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police;
c) to any vehicle in connection with the works.
