Councillor Peter Bond, Chairman of the Planning Policy Committee, said:
“We look forward to meeting residents and getting their feedback on the potential opportunities a garden village development could offer. We will be holding five public exhibition events across the district where staff will be able to answer questions. Be reassured no development will get the go ahead anywhere until we have binding guarantees they will deliver the infrastructure requirements –schools, doctor’s surgeries and investment in roads to support the new houses and the district as a whole. It’s important everyone has their say as this consultation will help shape the final version of our Local Plan which we will consult on next year. We want to create a community led development where people are proud to live, work and visit.”
