There were no April Fools when 10 teams challenged for a ‘magnificent’ trophy on April 1st in the Village Hall. This was the second highly contested Rock The Quiz organised by The Meridian Group this time in aid of the Shooting Star Chase charity, and became highly competitive during the evening, as the teams deployed tactics with the use of a ‘Joker’ , to double up on points, not always successfully. The team names gave no clue to their knowledge strengths, Life is a Beaujolais battled with Universally Challenged, whilst others such as NAF (Not April Fools) ran a close second to the ultimate winners Quizzy McQuizface.

The aim of the evening was to raise money for a worthwhile charity, in a fun and relaxed way, and we are delighted to contribute £1250 towards the ongoing work of Shooting Star Chase, from the proceeds of the evening, which we hope all the competitors enjoyed.
