Full Platinum Jubilee Programme
The Village associations and residents have been working hard to make this Jubilee a celebration to remember. A couple of ‘housekeeping’ points:
Parking
We have been advised that the village hall has been hired out for a wedding over that weekend, which is likely to bring in more cars than usual. Please note: The Glebe Car Park will be reserved for people with mobility issues.
If you are attending any of the many events, please could we ask you do one of the following:
- Walk to the event
- Car share – particularly if you can offer a lift to a neighbour who cannot walk in
- Drive up with a full car and then return the car to your property and walk back in
- Ask people you know, around the village centre, if you can park in their driveways
What if it rains?
We never know whether June will bring rain or sunshine, but all events will go ahead even if it rains. There will a large marquee on the Glebe throughout the events to provide lots of shelter. If you want to bring your own small pop-up marquee because it is raining, please do so.
