Icelandic Horse Show in Woldingham
Kerry Miller at Orchard Farm Stables bought “Hnokki”, a very green untrained horse, about 18 months ago after losing her horse Sydney to Lyme’s disease in 2019. She soon got into having lessons in Icelandic riding and both Hnokki and Kerry have progressed to a stage that makes the idea of going to special Icelandic Horse shows appealing.
Due to the relative low numbers of Icelandic Horses in the UK shows are very few and those that are run are generally quite a distance away.
With that in mind Kerry along with her instructor thought it a good idea to run a show at Orchard Farm, that is going to take place on September the 24/25 in the sand school with the field opposite the house as the warm up area using the oval track.
Anyone is welcome to come and watch, we have cleared the area around the school so would be OK to view from. Hopefully the weather will be kind and keep dry, at least for that weekend.
More details regarding the show can be found on the Orchard Farm Stables website orchardfarmstables.co.uk
