This closure is OVERNIGHT ONLY 10pm-6am on the dates 25/11/19 to 13/12/19 and 20/2/20 to 10/3/20.
This is to put up and take down scaffolding for the bridge work by network rail.
From now Until 10/3/20 there will be 3 way lights on Woldingham Rd but at least it is open.
The signed diversion will be in place while the closure is in effect overnight.
THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL – WOLDINGHAM ROAD (C72), WOLDINGHAM – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER NO.2 2019
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of Woldingham Road (C72), Woldingham that is crossed by the “Woldingham Road Railway Viaduct”, and for a distance of 20m either side. The Order is required to enable Dyer and Butler/Network Rail to carry out inspections and/or maintenance works to the railway bridge.
These works are anticipated to be carried out from 25/11/19 to 13/12/19, and from 20/02/20 to 10/03/20 within 2 phases of the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commences on 25 November 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to any property will be affected however access will be maintained for pedestrians; and dismounted cyclists and equestrians under direction of a banksman. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, and businesses will be maintained via Godstone Road, Hillbury Road, Westhall Road, The Green, Limpsfield Road, The Ridge, Northdown Road, Station Road and Woldingham Road.
