Year of the Volunteer
June’s Nominated Volunteers are
All those who volunteer, now and in the past, to look after the Glebe
The Glebe Committee work hard to keep the Glebe as a beautiful ‘recreational place for all ‘. Currently the trustees are Mark Tapley (ably assisted at meetings by Judie Tapley), George Burne, Chris Higson, Marc Sculthorpe, Ian Tansley, and Robin Tozer. From time to time they co-opt others, such as Stathis Londos or Sophie Guest for specialist advice.
They manage the trust funds, the grounds, playground and buildings, as well as co-ordinate and support the various users such as Woodlea school, The Cricket Club and The Tennis Club. They make it a welcome and beautiful place for all to use, including dog walkers.
The Glebe is a registered charity and, like all our village facilities, relies on donations to fund this upkeep. They are also interested in finding volunteers who could take over the company secretary and treasurer roles. If you could take on these roles or would like to become a member please contact Mark Tapley at:
