Parish Council Update – May 2019
The Annual Parish Meeting was held on May 17th 2019 and was well attended by village residents. The key purpose of the meeting is to share with residents what we have achieved and worked on over the year and to have an open Q&A on what we will be doing and feedback on issues around the village. We presented an overview of planning, an overview of the financial position of the Council, our planning activity for the year. We talked through the progress on the Woldingham Neighbourhood Plan through regeneration of the Crescent and addressing safety in the Village via CCTV on Church Road and Vehicle Activated Signs. We gave an overview of the grants and events we have held throughout the year. Councillor Becky Rush also gave an overview from the perspective of her role as the regional County Councillor. The Q&A was very enjoyable with ideas put forward from a number of residents. There were also questions raised most of which turned out to be areas covered by District or County Councils but the wonderful thing is we have Keith Jecks (District Councillor) and Becky Rush (County Councillor) on the Parish Council.
