Recycling Christmas trees – Anyone with a real Christmas tree can recycle it in the following ways once the festive season is over:
* Take it to the Community Recycling Centres in Bond Road, Warlingham, or Chaldon Road, Caterham and put it in the garden waste container.
* Cut it up and compost it in your home compost bin.
* If you are a member of the Biffa Green Waste Club, cut up your tree (maximum tree trunk 10cm diameter) and put it in your bin for collection. Make sure you can still close the lid.
For full details on when your bins will be collected and when the Recycling Centres are open over the Christmas period visit the Tandridge District Council Bank Holiday Recycling & Waste Collections web page.
Tandridge have also produced a handy online Christmas Recycling Guide.
