Advance Notice of Part Road Closure – Woldingham Road

WOLDINGHAM ROAD (C72) WOLDINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along that length of Woldingham Road (C72), Woldingham, as extends for a distance of 60 metres either side of its junction with Bug Hill. (See map below)
The Order is required to facilitate the laying of central hatched road markings on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out within one day between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the six month period of operation of this Order, which will come into operation on 18 January 2019. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, and emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation will be maintained at all times. No sole means of access for residents will be affected.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Woldingham Road, Station Road, Northdown Road, The Ridge, B269 Limsfield Road, B270 Westhall Road, B270 Hillbury Road, A22 Godstone Road and Woldingham Road, or this route in reverse.
