TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC NOTICE 2022

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that length of Caterham Bypass as extends along the southbound carriageway from the Wapses Lodge Roundabout to its junction with Godstone Road. The alternative route is via B2208 Croydon Road and B2030 Godstone Road.
This Notice is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out bridge inspection works in the length of road described above.
This Notice will commence on the 4 July 2022 for a period of 5 days.
Works are anticipated to be completed within 3 days between the hours of 8pm and 7am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The prohibition referred to above will not apply: –
a) in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
b) in respect of anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police;
c) to any vehicle in connection with the works.
No access to any premises will be affected. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the alternative route.
