SGN Update on Gas Mains Replacement Works – December 2020
Update on gas works in Woldingham from SGN:
I am writing to provide you with an update regarding our gas mains replacement work in Woldingham. Our engineers have recently completed work in Northdown Road and Nethern Court. All work will be suspended from now until 4 January 2021, to avoid disrupting the area during the busy festive period. Our welfare compound will be secured and will remain on Croft Road, ready for our works starting in the New Year.
In continued close consultation with Surrey County Council, Woldingham Parish Council and the Woldingham Association, we have agreed to complete the following work starting in January 2021;
Phase one – lasting approximately five weeks
On Monday 4 January, our engineers will be working on Lunghurst Road from the junction with Croft Road to the junction with Slines Oak Road. For everyone’s safety, we’ll need to close this section of Lunghurst Road. A signed diversion will be in place via Station Road.
Phase two – lasting approximately three weeks
From Monday 15 February, we will be working on Halliloo Valley Road from the junction with Lunghurst Road to the junction with Butlers Dene Road. During this time, it will be necessary to close Halliloo Valley Road around our site, as well as both respective junctions.
Signed diversions will be in place via Woldingham Road, Station Road and Slines Oak Road.
The team will be working extended hours where necessary to complete this work within the timescales.
Information about project updates can be found on our dedicated page at sgn.co.uk. We will also update you on further works in the area, including Croft Road/High Drive, which is being planned for March 2021.
We would like to thank residents, businesses and road users for their continued patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
Kind regards,
Nicole McNab
