Surrey Highways – Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order – some time from 6th Nov

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woldingham Road (C72), Woldingham that is crossed by the “Woldingham Railway Viaduct” and for a distance of 30 metres either side. This Traffic Order is required to enable inspections and/or maintenance works to the railway bridge on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 within one night of the six month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 November 2018. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be removed outside of the working hours will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians; dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of temporary footway during working hours. Note access to Woldingham School Drive will not be restricted at any time. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, general traffic, HGVs and buses will be maintained at all times via the diversion route which will be Woldingham Road, Godstone Road, Hillbury Road, Westhall Road, The Green, Limpsfield, Slines Oak Road, Halliloo Valley Road and Woldingham Road.
