Woldingham Village Club
Summer has most definitely now drawn to a close and it was one the Club, it’s members, guests and visitors really enjoyed. From great camaraderie at the World Cup matches, to more great camaraderie at the Beer Festival, it has been a blast.
We have also hosted some Big Fight nights which have been really well attended, so do remember we show most big sporting events at the Club, from football, to golf, to boxing, F1 and rugby; often on the big screen too.
October saw the annual Members night, bringing Las Vegas to Woldingham, with Black Jack tables and Roulette, lots of smartly dressed hopefuls making the most of the evening.
We also had our Halloween party with live music from Parallel Sky who got in the spirit of things and played the evening away in fancy dress. Speaking of fancy dress there were some great costumes from party goers, and the same as previous years, you were never quite sure if the person under the costume was the person you actually thought it was!
We have some great events coming up with the lead up to Christmas including Dinner & Cabaret – A Night with Dean Ager on 24th November. Some of you may have had the pleasure of hearing Dean at the Beer Festival this year, if you did, you know this will be a great evening.
Saturday 8th December is the children’s Christmas Party which is always enjoyed by the youngsters, especially when Father Christmas makes an appearance! If you would like to attend please book your child in with Neil or Julie at the Club, either give them a call or drop in. It is free but Father Christmas needs to make sure he has gifts for all!
The following day, Sunday 9th, we are incredibly lucky to again have the Salvation Army come and play for a Christmas Carol concert, an event to really get you in the festive mood.
Thursday 20th December will be our big Christmas draw where we have an awful lot of prizes to be won. Tickets (squares) will be available at the Club for December.
Saturday 22nd December why not come and join us for a fun Quiz, always worth a giggle.
As per usual, we will be holding Boxing Day bingo, do come and join us, and bring yourselves a picnic!
To round the year off, we will, as usual, be hosting a New Year’s Eve bash, with music courtesy of Neil Jones Hits Disco. Tickets will be available from the Club.
When we don’t have events on, remember every Friday night we have a meat raffle, followed by our Member’s draw. At the time of writing it has remained un-won for quite a few weeks and currently stands at £80. You have to be in it (the Club!) to win it!
Julie’s Kitchen is open Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. On a Friday she offers a Friday night special and Sunday’s there is a selection of roasts as well as the usual menu.
We’d love to see you there!
